Mustard greens: ever worn by AAF officers?

Can't recall seeing them in WW2 pictures. Officers seem to have worn only Class A items (dark OD, pinks, khaki) under their flight gear.

Pilots wore mustard woolens with their A-1s in the 20s and early 30s, but that was also the color of the Class A uniform at the time.

Might it have been because WW2 cadets wore this color (as enlisted uniforms)?

If you have any of the books authored by Jeffrey Ethell (e.g. Fighter Command, Warbirds, etc.) there are numerous color photos of WWII officers wearing the mustards with their A-2 jackets. However, every picture I've seen of officers wearing mustard uniforms has been during what appears to be an "off duty" time or some sort of "dirty work" detail. The 1942 edition Officer's Guide does indicate that "for arduous service, the [uniform] issued by the Quartermaster to enlisted men and sold to officers is entirely satisfactory."
