Well, I thought I wanted a briefcase, since i have a Samsonsite soft sided one, not leather but leather like, and it has worked well. Has a shoulder strap I have never used, it is in black and I guess it makes sense to use it since now we have metal detectors and scanning machines and well, a leather briefcase is gonna get scratched up. Besides, maybe twice a month if that much I would use it, and that is if I make myself use it.

So, I was thinking that when I do carry my white note pads (we used to use legal pads but by decree about 10 years ago, the local courts and bankruptcy all use letter sized paper, so now, I use letter sized folders and note pads), the top pages get scruntched and I was thinking of a neater way to carry it and a better presentation. I had a hard cardboard one, with the fake plastic leather over it and my name embossed on the front, and was thinking leather?

Here is a photo of one that www.narragansettleathers.com has made before. Maybe others can weigh in on what they have used or seen?

Saddleback has to be in the running and I also like the one from Col. Littleton. But the one pictured seems to be a bit more refined leather and if it is cheaper, Im all over it. But not having seen many, wondering if anyone has experience with this sort of thing

Found one with side tabs
