My new $15 leather jacket

just thought I would share a few pics of my new $15 jacket I picked up. its very heavy and has insulated sleaves and that funky liner but I figure for a good jacket to throw in my truck for winter time it won't be so bad. when I got it it had some dirt and water staines scrubbed it down with saddle soap and its looking good.

here is the front it kinda reminds me of a old barn jacket I use to have

the rather funky pocket/flap. the actual flap over the lower pocket is actually another pocket. so 4 pockets on the outside and one on the inside.

the back again reminding me of that old barn coat. (that spot in the middle is from the camera its not on the coat)

a pic of my first A2 that I got just before my freshman year in highschool man that was awhile ago.

amazing what you can find on the internet. the jacket looks very similar to the "hunter's feild coat" that you can get from ll bean just this is made from leather not cotton.

Thats a nice leather field coat! Probably meant for fall and spring upland bird hunting.Plaid liner is a plus for warmth on a chill morning.You got your self a really great buy.
Looks like , maybe,it could use some leather conditioner or if the leather is pretty dried out, you could get some Pecards Leather dressing.
I never see leather of any kind in the thrifts and consignment stores anymore.I think they pre-pick the leather goods and off they go out the back door, to Ebay or collectors.Anyway congrats on a nice find.
