Was looking for a decent hat to wear on the beach last week. Couldn't find a straw panama due to my large head, but I found this. What do you think?

Actually, at some ****py boardwalk store. It's a Panama Jack cotton size 7 and 7/8.

I've started using cotton hats for travel, and I actually prefer them to straw for hot weather, too. Yours looks good.

Yes, it's nice to find good cheap hats. Especially if they fit. That's the trouble .

Yeah, I like that. Last year in Colombia I used mine to kill wasps, knocking them out of the air and then squashing them flat with the second swing of the Tilley. I wouldn't do that with any of my other hats. And they're reliable sun shade in hot weather if you don't care to look fashionable.
