Malaysian doctors have declared neckties a health hazard and called on the health ministry to stop insisting that physicians wear them.

I haven't worn a long tie since Eisenhower's second term, when I discovered they tended towards involvement as I changed our son's diapers. Changed to bows (http://www.greatbows.com/store/), which not only tuck nicely beneath the chin where a tie ought to be, but can be economically FedExed to Kuala Lumpur when soiled.

Vintage ties can be greasy ties -- especially on that one inch of fabric which occupies the knot. Not a pleasant sight ...

I have mine dry cleaned enough as it is.
I am not all that worried. I worry more about my infant son yanking it more than spreading infection. :eusa_doh:
