Great minds think alike, ADHD_Librarian!

I didn't see your picture, as on dial up, they tend to load slowly, so I often just scroll past them and read the comments. You said "famous hat wearers ...or not" and I immediately thought "Hey, somebody should post a pic of Adolf Hitler in a fedora." lol

I know everyone hates the gangster thought, but I saw that lid and thought one person instantly. It just happened. Thus, my suggestions are all variations on single theme, to honor one of the great wiseguys of Hollywood.

Has anyone suggested
'Mr Bassman' yet?

or just the Bassman

(or does it sound too much like "I live in my Mom's Basement?)

There are a lot of names coming up which are already hats made by other manufacturers.
By the time you add in the names of vintage hat styles, I am wondering if the only way to have a unique name is to use a random mix of characters.

the ytgblkdf

or perhaps l33t speak (might broaden your target audience)

the H4x0r
the l33t
the Pr0n M4st3r

Certainly these are names never before used by a hatter!

I might even buy a H4x0r just for the name.

Very nice hat.

Might I suggest "California Zephyr"?

I used to ride the stainless-steel clad passenger train of that name as a kid. The one with the vistadome car that wound through spectacular western scenery. Somehow the silverish hatband and the general style reminded me of that train, the romance of rail travel, and what someone might have worn in the lounge car and dining cars during that era.

He's holding a similar(ish) hat.

I will admit that I find inappropriate things to be funny.
But the idea of a hat called the Adolf amused me.

I must ask, could this be the first time Godwin's Law has applied to a thread in a hat related forum?

And the librarian's thought is that... we can't name a hat after a famous hat wearer, because Hitler wore a hat? WRONG

I must say that, at first glance JP's new creation screamed, "James Cagney" at me. But, as I scrolled down to the first suggestion... it was "handlebar bart" with "The Cagney." Damn I was too late so... my list consists of names derived from Cagney movie titles.

I can see where it may say Snot Nose (I mean Sinatra) to some. Jazz to some. Hip Hop to others.

I'm just wondering what Jimmy Pierce had in mind while designing it. ;)

Nothing so sophisticated, I'm afraid I just thought it was funny.
(and I still do)

Name it the Hitler, I dare you!
Sure it might ruin your chances of selling very many...
