I received yesterday a very large box from Scotland...

    In it were[IMG]
    Shackleton size 50

Lettermans Jacket size 48) Navy wool with cream vicenza)

Waterfront size 48 with quilted lining

ANJ-4 (size 50 special order made of Seal D1 shearling and oilpull hh)

Here’s some fit pics. Only complaint I have is that ANJ-4 seems to be one size too large for me.

You did very well with the latest additions to your wardrobe from Galashiels. BTW I understand the Dallas Cowboys are looking for offensive linemen. Since the minimum size is 48-50 you might well qualify for a position on the team. :D

Your ANJ4 does look a tad over-size to me but I have never tried one on and I imagine the last thing you need is a tight fit on one of these jackets.Fantastic selection all round though.

If they’re looking for 40 year old slow runner with multiple old sports injuries I might just be their man!

Funny coincidence that a sales guy of a clothing shop in our local mall asked me yesterday if I am (american) football player after I could not fit my thighs in their slim fit trousers.

And no, I have never touched an american football outside of a sports shop!

I really like the Waterfront! certainly a classic... From the pictures I agree with your assessment of the ANJ4.. but how does it feel? if it feels too big it probably is, I would think you could exchange it for a smaller sized one at this early stage.

It does indeed feel too large for me. I can wear the waterfront under the ANJ-4 and there is still room to spare!

I am afraid that changing or returning this jacket might not possible, as it is a non-returnable special order (thinner shearling than normal). I did however ask From Aero if they can think up some solution.

My guess is the next size down would be too small.
Keep it and love it. From one colder country to another....

The Anj looks a little big, but not kid wearing dad’s jacket big. It’s not a bespoke suit. Look at old photos of guys in shearling jacket, the fits are all over the place. My guess is they stood in line, a quarter master eyed them up and down, handed them a jacket and said “next”. “I think i need 1/8” more on the sleeves” wasn’t a thing. Wear it and enjoy.

    Sensory overload.

LOVE the Waterfront, and the fit is phenomenal!

The ANJ4 is larger then I would prefer. Time to ponder layering options to fill-in that bad boy.

  14. Nice Jackets and vest. They look great. Anj doesn't look baggy...but you know how it feels on you. Surely Aero will work something out that's reasonable.

Well done Sir! Outstanding choices. I know you can't wait for winter to rear it's ugly head so you can sport that gear in style! Congrats.

You've already highlighted that the AN-J-4 looks a size larger than you need; I feel that the reverse is true of the Shackleton (it might relax a bit of course, but it currently looks like you could do with a size up if you're planning to layer over a sweater).

All look good to me. Personally I lean to the view that shearlings are best a touch oversized to make the most of Winter laywring and trapping air in for heat.

Wow 4 jackets in a single order! You are taking it to a whole new level! :)

I like the letterman jacket the most! Fit wise I think they all work, there is no jacket obviously of the wrong size ;)

I must disagree with your view on the Shackleton. I don’t expect to wear anything thicker under it than the submariner sweater in the pics, and with that I think the shackleton is just right for my taste.

By the way Aero promised to remake the AnJ-4 for me in one size smaller. I take my hat off to their customer service!
