"New" Schott 530 Cafe Racer Defects.

Hey there,

Requesting your opinion on my 530 Cafe Racer w/ defects.
Seller is of no help. I understand characteristics of leather and patina just doesn't seem fair I paid for something labeled as new and it comes like this.
Schott offered to repair for free of cost which is amazing by them.

Are the first two pictures top coat peeling or just a scuff?
The third & fourth picture the marks looks like it's from manufacturing or a scar from the actual animal.


What are your thoughts?

These are cosmetics that can be easily redyed over and fixed, not structural.

If you did not purchase it from Schott directly, I am a little surprised they would help you. However if they will just send it to them and let do a quick refinish as Canuck said.

That’s nothing. Super minor and could’ve easily been caused just being hung in a closet. I’d say return it and don’t buy another leather jacket. If this bothers you, leather is not for you.

Literally no flaws.

The sooner your leather jacket develops these "flaws", the better. Just wear it without worrying and watch it start to look even cooler over time. That's the beauty of leather
