The intention of this thread is to share our knowledge of online sources for quality attire, not in the spirit of advertising them but in the spirit of simply sharing what we have found to be tried-and-true stuff.

A short comment on what can be expected of the respective sources might be useful in some cases.

I suggest posting the links uncovered, and stating the name of the business to make searches easier in case the link is broken at some point in the future.

The quest for a well-made classic trench coat, the right shirt, the perfect dress socks, decent dress shoes and whatnots can be both time-consuming and costly - especially when we buy before we have actually found the real deal (or what we believe to be the real deal...).
Although by no means comprehensive, I’m listing topics of interest, to give an idea of how we might start off. Let’s see how it develops from here. If this thread gets enough attention, I’ll try and produce summaries of what we have found out together on a regular basis.
I’m located in Germany, so my sources are mainly European, but I will add U.S. sources to the lists wherever I can find reportedly good ones.

Cloth by the meter:

Fox Flannel, UK - excellent English Flannel, both woolen and worsted flannels:

Huddersfield, UK: Lots of worsted cloth, but also a nice selection of flannels, linens, overcoat woolens etc.:

Harrisons of Edinburgh, UK – like Huddersfield, one of the big sources for tailoring houses:
http://www.harrisonsofedinburgh.com/welcome.html

Brisbane Moss, UK – strong on corduroys, cottons, linens and more:

Harris Tweed and Knitwear – Harris Tweed directly from the weavers, at an unbeatable price.

John Molloy, Ireland – Donegal tweed:

Everything that goes with suits:

Fine socks:
Mes Chaussettes Rouges, France – The perfect over-the-calf dress socks, at least for fine cotton (wool only the three available colors of Gamarelli socks). Look no further.

Berg & Berg, Norway – high quality ties (on a par with Drake’s of London if you ask me; I’ve been wearing ties from both makers for some time now). Awesome pocket squares and Bresciani socks (THE sockmaker together with Mazarin). New collections every season; ever since their launch back in 2009 they have provided excellent quality and great, classic designs.

Drake’s of London – high quality ties:

Mercer & Sons, USA - classic full-cut shirts (don’t be put off by the currently visible, horrible first text lines on the web page – I sure don’t know what that’s supposed to be):
http://mercerandsons.com/

Fox Umbrellas, UK – classic English umbrellas at surprisingly affordable prices. No silk canopees, but the construction is good enough (I have a Whangee with 8mm steel tube and one with a wooden shaft).

Manchester Weathercoat Company, UK - classic trenchcoats directly from the source. They produce for Burberry and Aquascutum.

Darcy Clothing, UK – lots of useful stuff here; shirts and some of the accessories:

Casual wear – an uncommented list of sources:

End Clothing, UK:

Oi Polloi of Manchester, UK:

Peggs & Son, UK:
