A trip to Chicago is in the works for next spring. Primary reason is to visit Optimo. Not crazy about most of his styles but I am thinking it will be easy to convince me to bite on one their Lords hats.

Oh yeah I did. I dropped in twice before I could pull the trigger. First time I stopped in just to see and feel the hats. Tiffini was there and told her that it was my first time in there. She sized me then handed me this hat and a Manhattan to try on. I was immediately impressed with the quality. I had to walk out of there otherwise I would have made a super impulsive purchase. A week or so passed and I dropped in there with the wife. It was a different sales associate. Told her I was in there previously and wanted to show my wife the hat I was looking at. Surprisingly she didn't flip out at the price. After another week past I called the store and spoke to Tiffani again and closed the deal. I told her that I was there a week earlier and her associate suggested that they could reshape the hat slightly for a better fit in the front. Tiffani said that was a good idea and that she remembered how it fit. I was able to pick it up a week or so after that conversation. It was a great experience. Really nice shop. Paid parking wasn't hard to find on the street.

No, I keep finding places I would rather visit than Chicago. But it is sill on my list. Problem is, I don't like either of the Chicago baseball teams.

Having lived there for 11 years, I can tell you it is a neat city to visit. Even the baseball (on the Northside) is worth it, just to see Wrigley Field and the Wrigleyville area. Just find a time when they are playing a team you like. My personal favorite is the architecture. Take a real architectural tour and prepare to be amazed.
