A Harley run into the Swan Valley wine region today. Again to celebrate our oldest rider's 90th. Gourmet pizza and pints of Fremantle brewed "Copper ale". 50 K's in from the coast. 10c on the out, 24C on return. From left to right 67, 65 , 62(me),72,67,63, 90 (birthday boy),73,74,80.
haha...yes "the boy" (at a coming 62), at least today. Two of the fluid crew are 58 , neither present yesterday. Our 80 and 90 year old riders are my inspiration both. I realise they are the exception and far from the rule but aim high! For what it's worth both these fellows had working lives involving some manual labour ( Power line engineer/landscape gardner/general builder). Wonder if it's too late for manual labour for me ? ( self deprecating bad joke right there !)
A run down to the Fremantle working docks this morning. This is from the "beer stop". Poor quality mobile phone photos from the shade of a Norfolk Pine Tree ( big mothers !) They give good shade parking for the bikes tho' Simmons Bilt J100 café in black goat. Todays attendees 61(me)/63/64/67/80/90 NOT the same photo as other threads so don't start ! !
The Fine Creek Virginia Beach flowed in today from Texas. Fine is the word. More when I can catch my breath. Stunning jacket. Probably not many old Men wearing Fine Creek. This Style is older than me by a few years. I'm feeling Fine. These are Video stills so don't enlarge well. These are High Res pictures. Pure Jacket Porn
Delightful leather trucker TMitchell sir. I had a beautiful black Australian made kangaroo leather trucker perhaps 12 years ago. Got too "squeezy" over the years. I had paid $152.50 AUD for it used but lovely in November 2008. At the time the most expensive ebay purchase I had made to date ! WAY before my major internet jacket shenanigans. I gave it to my ( 4 years younger , slimmer and fitter) brother in 2016. I used to scan the net and ebay etc for a one size larger replacement for it, but only found my Australian made "Frantik" Photo used before
I would say yes. This was posted with the jacket. I think their size 44 would work for me also, maybe better. When they started as High Large they showed their largest size as a 42. They now offer the 44 and 46 which work well outside of Japan. The 44/46 are more difficult to find on the secondary market. The seller, who is now a member here, owned it for around a month and harldy wore it. So like new.
Keep looking your jacket my turn up in your size. I have been wanting one of these FC truckers. Size issues were overcome on this jacket.
I thought of your LW National Racer when I got this. It fills that space for me with the Vintage 40s Styling, work jacket. This should satisfy my Trucker quest My remaining quest is the National Racer Shawl Collar Cossack jacket Style. I've looked long for an original and they are quite rare. Japan is full of outstanding remakes we never see here because few are above a US 40. I've consider having lost Worlds make one. Before I do I will talk with you.
I can' hide my years any longer. That this point twenty and thirty-something cutties handle my flirting without getting defensive.
I keep reading the title of this thread as: "wearing over 50 leather jackets" and keep wondering how that fits...
