My jacket has arrived! Easy to wear out of the box. Borderline short, but that’s suppose to be this way. I would appreciate some feedback about the fit. It’s a teacore brucciato hide. View attachment 702593 View attachment 702591 View attachment 702590 View attachment 702589 View attachment 702592
I think the length of the jacket is spot on!

Like you said, those kind of jackets are supposed to fit short and in my eyes they looks a lot better when they are(compared to the "modern" longer fitting biker jackets).

If this was my jacket I would be over the moon with the fit and wouldn't change anything! :)

My two cents.

Cheers!

It couldn't be better. The jacket suits you perfectly, truly impressive. Wear it with joy.

Thank you all for the kind words. It’s truly a unique piece. I will check in from time to time to show how it ages

I am thinking about ordering a halfbelt Thedi and need advice. What are your feelings on the strapped sleeves, yay or nay? If not do you like his zippers or buttons?

Big yay from me as I think they look amazing :)

They are not the most practical adjustments compared to zip or buttons, but me myself never adjusts my sleeves really so I rather have the straps for the great look(just set and forget):D

My two cents

I like how they look. I have the exact same jacket model pictured but in a different leather. But what matters is not what I think, but if you like the look of them.

I changed to zippers on the Memphis for function over looks. I ride an Indian bobber 20.
Several functional reasons for the zipper option:
* snug it down to keep wind / cold out
* unzipped for mobility
* unzipped for venting
* unzipped for extreme reaching overhead (lightbulb changing)
* zipped for reaching into pockets
* zipped if wearing gloves
I also deleted the fancy button on the cuff. It eliminates any potential snagging or catching on anything ( belt loops, pocket edge, table top...).
Choosing cuff style on any jacket also depends on wrist and hand size. Look back at pictures in this thread and you will see some where the hand is swallowed up by the cuff all the way to the knuckles. That makes it difficult to do everyday tasks like checking a watch or digging a phone out of a pocket. It is really a struggle if the leather is stiff and becomes a two hand operation, utilizing the other hand to hike the sleeve out of the way. I don't care for the hand inside the sleeve look. However some folks do. My wrist is on the small size with long skinny hands so zip looks way better. With large meaty hands the open cuff may look better. For really large wrist and hand it may be easier to remove the hand from the sleeve with the zip feature.

I'll be the opposite to the others: I don't like them, at least aesthetically :p But if you do, go for it. You'll be the one wearing it and I'm yet to see a Thedi jacket I don't like, even if it's one I wouldn't wear myself.

Interesting, I did not see a fancy cuff button, is that something only on the button sleeves or on every jacket? Could you post a picture of your zipper sleeves?

Another vote for yay. However I never adjust the sleeves, so it might affect the decision if you're planning to actually ride in the jacket and want to be able to tighten them.
I agree, very rarely do you need to adjust, once its right. They dont ask for your wrist size, so it made me wonder. I am more worried that the straps will get in the way or catch on things.

The fancy button on the zipper sleeve does not do anything. Except maybe catch on things. The zipper sleeve will close around your wrist so it can't hang down past your knuckles. The strap sleeve creates a fold at the strap. The bottom opening measurement remains the same size. If you like tube shape sleeves that can cover your hands get the strap cinch sleeve. If you like a tapered sleeve that stops at the wrist get the zip. The button is like buttons on suits that are just decorative. The strap sleeve has a wide opening like a suit jacket. The zip sleeve is like the cuff on a dress shirt.

Yesterday was a good day :D

Got my third Thedi(fourth overall) from a real gent here on TFL. It's the exact model and leather I was planing to get from Thedi directly myself so the timing of this was prefect.

The jacket is a MTC-1279720 in Thedis olive goat leather and I'm amazed how nice it feels and wears! a bit thinner than his buffalo/steer hide leather, but it's incredible soft and very premium feeling!

Here are some quick photos of the jacket, and I'll post some fit pics later when I have the time :)

All in all I'm happier than a pig in **** and I've been walking around with a big smile all day haha, and to the gentlemen that sold me this beauty, danke schön mein freund!

Cheers
