Last weekend i had the pleasure to meet Theodoros in person over here in Germany ... - what a nice dude for chatting and laughing ...

I ended up grabbing a SHAWL in canvas/HBT with horsehide along with a nice wallet

Well after battling FedEx for a few days I finally got my package out of import purgatory. While I had lingering concerns that I messed up on the sizing details I sent thedi, I can confidently say he is a master at his craft and I think he nailed the fit quite well. Perhaps a tad short and I’d ask for a bit more length on the next one and take the sleeves up a smidge.

I literally commished the same jacket in burgundy through Thurston bros. Did you get the interior lining? You don’t think the sleeves are too long?

I do think they are a tad on the long side but I have a feeling that once some creases and rolls form - perhaps that extra 0.5-1" will be taken up.

Thedi sent me a measuring guide for arm length and my value came to 23.25". This is what I provided Thedi.

I used a fit jacket from Thurston a few post back and mine was long too. I mentioned that to Carrie hopefully it comes out fine.

Congrats, looks great! I personally think the body length is perfect. Sleeves a bit long, but I think those can be altered if they don't compress enough on their own from creasing.

Did you have to go through that import number form nonsense?

Yeah, they actually dropped the ball on notifying me so I reached out until I got in touch with a person who eventually sent me a docusign link and asked me questions about the leather. I told them the package contained various leather samples and fabrics. Never had to go through this with other jacks that have been imported with other shippers. Hope it doesn’t happen again on the next Thedi.

Makes me glad I went thru Thurston, but this is my first time getting a custom from them, hopefully everything goes well
