I've noticed that a few makers make jackets that are very similar to each other.

I expect that this is not without controversy, and my intent in creating this thread is NOT to incite any wars about who's ripping off who, or who's better made, looks better, or whatever. I expect this will probably happen anyway, but I'm begging readers of this thread to not partake in this here. I just want to catalog them.

Obviously many makers are doing their own version of an A-2, B-3, J24, J100, etc. and that's less interesting to me because they're so common. But I'm more interested in these more uniquely styled jackets that seem to be being made by several makers.

Mainly I'm interested in current production jackets, but if you happen to find a true vintage original inspiration for a jacket-alike model being produced by multiple modern makers, so much the better.

Can we have a judgement-free easter egg hunt for jacket-alikes? I'd like to see this eventually turn into a sticky thread that we can all use as a reference when shopping and comparing.

Here, I'll start us off:

For example, ELMC's Windward and Vanson Arrow are very similar:
ELMC Windward:

Vanson Arrow:

Simmons Bilt SB Vintage Racer and Lost Worlds Buco Rider
SB Vintage Racer:
simmons-racer[1].jpg
LW Buco Rider:
BucoRider-6A[1].jpg

You get the idea. Try to post a good image along with a link to where the jacket can be purchased. I hasten to add, I'm hoping for jackets made by high quality makers only, so no rip-offs made by low-end imitators, please.

Happy hunting!

Sure. Speaking of Lost Worlds, Easy Ryder looks suspiciously like Schott CR 641/141, which in itself is of a rather uncommon design.

To my eye the pocket locations on those two are noticeably, if somewhat subtly, different.

Yeah, it's clearly not a copy per se, but all the main features are virtually identical. The biggest difference is LW having a separate kidney panel. What I find most confusing is why on earth has LW lifted that Schott trademark collar for their jacket...

I hate this thread by the way. It's just jacket porn forcing me to look at all kinds of beautiful jackets and I've sworn off buying anymore b/c I can't even wear what I have and blah blah blah. Go Cubs

I hate this entire forum for the same reason. And the internet in general... XD

$405 USD. Less than 1/2 new! I was sweating in the final moments as I've coveted this jacket for a very long time. Just had to say out loud Johnson Leathers, while looking in the mirror and taking deep breaths.

Oh, right! I remember it, on the Bay! Thought you were talking about the retail price. That one was a freaking steal. Someone landed themselves a deal of a lifetime.
