Stetson Standard Quality Feather Weight

Guessing at later 1930s on this one... ebay auction from a couple of weeks ago. The hat has some meurth cavities that were hidden behind the ribbon edges - the seller was kind enough to refund some of the cost. Otherwise, it is in nice condition - soft lightweight felt.

I creased it with a center dent and side pinches:

That is a fine looking hat. I recently had a block made and I am hoping to get a pre 40's look on the hat I make on it. Stunning and it fits you well.

1930s Stetson Tyrolean Alpine Hat

This isn't your everyday Stetson Standard Quality. I bought it from etsy and when I opened the box, I wasn't quite sure what I had. After a couple of minutes I realized that its a Tyrolean. This is the most coned shaped crown out of any hat that I own. Here's some pics:

This is the original knitted ribbon too. Its just missing the feather.

LOL. Possibly. When the proper Alpine crease is put into the hat, its still pointy, but not nearly as bad.

It sure does! A lot of Tyrolean hats do have quite a bit of taper. I guess they are suppose to look like the Alps.

Josh, This is truely a rare find no matter if most on here don't appreciate the style (they were popular sporting hats at different time periods). I have never seen a US made Alpine (now Robert will post one ) from this time period and the German, Austrian, French and Italian ones are also rare.
