As of yesterday, December 19th, Queen Elizabeth II matches Queen Victoria as the oldest monarch of England, 81 years, 243 days.

Hate to be pedantic, but she's Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada, so I suppose she's Elizabeth II everywhere else too. She is queen of 17 nations, and the make up of those particular nations has no effect on her succession status.

She was Queen Elizabeth through marriage to King George VI, she was not monarch in her own right. Hence, she became the Queen Mother on the death of George, while their daughter became Elizabeth II.

Technically the Queen Mother was "Queen Consort" rather than "Queen Regina".

Her title was still "Her Majesty" even after King George's death when her daughter Elizabeth became Queen. This is because, "once a Queen, always a Queen"
