Reenactors camp

Last week a little town just behind the dutch border had an event for the second time. They were remembering the British and American troops that liberated the Netherlands over 60 years ago. On the weekend the area was for public viewers and we packed our US ARMY AIR FORCES stuff and went there for a photo shoot. As we arrived we got a heartly welcome and had a great day. Take a peep and enjoy.

Hey, great pictures! I am a reenactor here in the U.S. with the Airman's Preservation Society. I live in the Washington, D.C. area and we have about 40 members in our group. Check out our site at www.capitalwing.org.

@ J.M. : you are right it is a little strange to see all the paratroopers and nurses talking in dutch, swizzerlands german and german, but it was international and everybody tried to speak in english
But more strange was that there have been battles like british paratoopers vs. US Airborne lol

@ Marc : your thoughts are not so far away....

@ B-17 Pilot: that is a huge group you are "serving" for. Me and my buddy are just alone and have been there as visitors. we just got there to take some pictures of our impressions in that beautiful area. It took 5 minutes and we were inbetween all the ladies and guys.

You exactly got it, Roy! Our flight suits and A-2s were soaked with sweat! It was hot and the humidity was very high, forced by the nearby river. As we left the camp, heavy thunder storms went over this area. But nevertheless we weren´t in the mood to drop our cloths lol
