resizing

I have searched the lounge but did not come up with a good answer.
I have come upon a hat that is 7 3/4, can I get it resized to closer my 7 3/8 size ? It is a vintage Stetson and I would love to have it fit better.

Just send it to me. It will fit me better and you don't have to worry about it.
Actually, any hatter can make it fit you better. It just depends how far you want to go to get it to fit right. The easiest way is to put a few felt strips under the sweatband to make it fit your head better. This difference in size will require you to get a lot of felt strips though.

Check out FedoraFelts (TM). I ordered some from Duane just today, and it sounds like they'll do the trick. I've got a vintage Borsalino that I just need a wee bit more snug. You may want to pick up two packs. And the price is right too.

Art is already cleaning and blocking 2 of my Open Roads, when I get them back I will go on and send it to him. I have used stuff behind the sweat before but this hat needs to be a little smaller. If Art brings it down some then I may use the fedorafelts if need be.
