Noob question guys.
Is it possible to restore at least minimally a HH leather scent on a Shinki jacket?
Anyone try Mustang OIL/Paste specifically for this?
Thank you

Not generally possible unless re-tanned.

The "new" scent of any leather is a fragile component of the garment, one outside influences start to encroach upon it, it recedes, then eventually ceases to exist altogether.

Mustang Paste (conditioner made from 95% natural Japanese horse oil and 5% beeswax) is designed to deeply nourish and restore leather without residue or greasiness. It's great for maintaining color, hydration, and suppleness. I am not sure about scent though.

VSC (Venetian Shoe Cream) made my older Vanson Mercury smell like leather again. Not sure if the same for HH, my Iron Heart HH jacket still smells new.

Obenauf’s oil might work. It may not be the same as the original horsehide scent, but it is a pleasant new leather scent IMHO. Make sure to test it first, as not everyone is a fan.
