I just heard that Joe Rosenthal died at 94 years old. He was the photographer that took the famous photo of the Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima. I'm reading Flags of our Fathers right now.

Wow some age.

I read all about the reenacted Flag raising. He had a great eye for a picture. Made the Marines look iconic.

America will always owe him a debt of gratitude for giving us an image of hope at a time when we needed it most.

He will live on forever in that photo.
