Scats hiking boots timing?

Found these cheap off the German eebers... apparently these are an USA brand? Theres a tag reading"SCATS" soles say "vibram". The soles were virtually "unworn", but the shoes had been sitting in an attic for some odd years so theres some hardening on the light trimming. Other than that quite sturdy hiking boots, the lacing up style is quite interesting. But timing? 80's??

I don't seem to be getting any hits googling...

There's a chain of English country stores called Scats. They sell riding boots and apparel, but I've no idea if they ever sold hiking gear - I think it's a very long shot.

Btw, thanks for the German ebay tip - I've expanded my own vintage hiking boots search (tried Austria as well, but surprisingly much less promising).

I'm pretty sure they're Vasques. There's a very similar pair on US ebay right now - the stitching is identical.
