Very nice Oakbrook in a size 40. Leather is lighter weight with plenty of natural patina throughout. Jacket is in solid condition. Liner in nice shape other than at the sleeve hems, where it is starting to fray a bit. BrassTalon zip functions as it should. Small knit portions around hem are nice and taught. Kinda on the fence with this one, but it’s on the larger size for me. Measurements taken flat:
P2P: 23.25”
Shoulder: 19.75”
Sleeve Straight down: 24”
Back from bottom of collar: 24”
Bottom opening relaxed: 19”

Asking $150 shipped CONUS PP F&F

Cool jacket and nice price, dimensions are good for me except the sleeves are about 2" too short. GLWS

My guess is steer/cowhide, but maybe someone with a bit more experience in these old sears jackets would be able to give a more definitive answer.. I’d say @tmitchell59 would know for sure

These jackets made by Appalachian Tanned and Tailored. They are found with several labels. They were available in Steerhide and horsehide. Most are Steerhide

First catalog appearance 1959. Leather changed, lining changed, zippers, epaulets. I've owned several of these in both hides. I just bought another recently. I had met a fellow seeking one of these because a rock star wears one. I believe it was Eddie Vedor? if that is correct. I did not have one at the time. I believe he found one. He sent me pics of the Star wearing one.

Thank you for the response! I appreciate your level of expertise, for sure. Eddie Vedder is the singer for the band Pearl Jam, I guess that makes this jacket twice as cool
