The wartime bond between Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt was a defining, personal, and strategic partnership that anchored the Allied war effort. Forged between 1939 and 1945, spanning over 1,700 letters and 11 personal meetings, it was a "special relationship" based on mutual respect, humour, and a shared commitment to defeating totalitarianism, despite differing long-term imperial and political goals.

What an incredible hat, Jack. My wife, Tina, made me smile, admiring your hat, I asked what she thought of it. "It would make an unusual fruit bowl," she replied.
Not me & not my wood hat, Robert. He is the owner & Masterdistiller of Wood Hat Spirits. He sometimes turns out wood hats on a lathe from a tree stump as a hobby. Me? I sometimes indulge in the Spirits.

Any archers know of Fred Bear and his Borsalino, but most of the other big name archers back in the day also shot in brimmed hat...
For new folks that worry about hats getting in the way, Ill suggest that if one can shoot a bow with a brim, that cars and doorways shouldnt be an issue lol

Just read an interesting article about a recently discovered bicorne believed to have belonged to Napoleon. The hat was found on Saint Helena where the deposed emporer was last exiled. The beaver bicorne includes a sweat-stained silk liner and was made by Poupard, who was apparently Napoleon's official hat maker. The hat will be on display this summer north of Paris.

Paul Newman giving a lift to Katherine Ross from the movie Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid. There's a postscript to this appealing publicity photo. Butch Cassidy is a favourite with Tina, as she puts it, "You get that feel good factor with it."

Many years later I had a hip replacement, my surgeon ecouraged exercise but warned me against impact exercise like running or jogging. Swimming and cycling were the order of the day. At a charity shop I found the perfect bicycle, one that was made in 1929.

Tina loved my bicycle, but chided, "Don't you expect me to do a Katherine Ross," adding, "I don't do handlebars." My antiquated bicycle as become known as "Raindrops," after the Burt Bacharach, Hal David song that Billy Thomas sang in that bicycle scene from the movie.
