I have posted this Borsalino a few pages back, but since I'm wearing it this morning, oh well... Borsalino in Mirtillo probably very early 1960s. Felt is wonderful and quite light. I'll go stingy for at least a few hours today.

Just got this Carlos Santana. Don't know who is making them for him but they are built well. Nice price range $40-$140. I will be buying more.

Nice. Does it have a fancy Santana logo?

Inside on sweat band. They are made well. The ribbon is sewn top and bottom around the hat and the brim is nice and stiff to hold shape.

Thanks, I don’t know what ‘rex’ refers to. By definition, perhaps a short hair rabbit.

That’s what I always assumed. And then:
    rex
    noun
    \ˈreks\

    plural rex·es or rex
    • : an animal (such as a domestic rabbit or cat) showinga genetic recessive variation in which the guard hairs are veryshort, sparse, or entirelylacking — compare cornish rex, devon rex

Thank you! I had been wanting a Borsalino for some time. I knew when I learned Byrnie Utz was closing, I would finally get my first one from them.

Nice gray, interesting finish. Does it have one of those thin black sweats from this era. Probably 1960s, cool.

My tiny Cervino Stingy. Qualita Speciale, but very small for a 57 cm. I gave it a wide tear drop crease.

Here is a fuzzy Stetson Imperial as Pork Pie Stingy.
Originally had a center dent and probably sold as Tyrolean style hat, unfortunately no product tags.
Not sure if "Imperial" refers to the quality or is just a name.

  19. For Stetson "Imperial" is a felt quality designation. One of the higher grades.
