Wearing this right now, like the color/hue gradation. Wembley made quite a few ties which featured country or city motifs, and this one has a mining motif. The top crest features a pick and shovel(?), the middle appears to be a factory building, and the bottom is a miner with pick. c.late-'50s.

Late 60s? A tie for the no-tie wearing demographic. Very much reminds me of something my grandfather would have worn. He worked for an iron ore mining/processing outfit. He would have rocked that with a light blue shirt and navy work chinos, with black work oxfords and probably white socks, and a stingy brim milan straw hat. Taking us out for Sunday dinner in his big old LTD.

Jamespowers, the "dancing satyrs" tie is splendid!

I got this "Rhodia" (30's synthetic) tie - French or German with chocolate-vanilla swirls.

30's to early 50's.

That's a great colour combination. I've got a couple of ties in the Rhodia fabric. Who says synthetic fabrics can't be good?
