With every thing going on, I forgot to post a photo of the Old Shack with the new roof! The former owner paid for it, but I got to pick the color. So far nothing but complements, so, I guise "I done good!" Monday, I tried to turn on the heat, nothing, with sub zero weather on it's way. No one would come out without time and a half rates! So, I turned off the water, opened some taps and hoped for the beat. Tuesday, no broken pipes, got some one to come out at 4:00 PM, froze most of the day, except for a trip to 7-11 for a Big Gulp and a couple of Taquitos, lunch of champions. Turned out I could have fixed it, but it would have been only temporary, it probably would have gone out again, but at 3:00 AM. He tuned it up, now it works great, love the old radiators, such a nice heat source! While waiting for him to show up, I was in the basement trying to get it to work, when I notice a bunch of standing water right where the cat smell is the heaviest. Turns out, the two old spigots for the washing machine were leaking out of the knob, I don't need them since the washing machine is on the main floor. So I ran and got a couple of 1/2" copper caps, cut the valves out and capped them, lucky thing I had my plumbing supplies there. The cat smell is finally dissipating, now that it is drying out! Wish I had noticed that a couple of weeks ago. So good thing the heat went out, best $99.00 I have ever spent!

Barbara Stanwyck and Linda Evans would be impressed. Those radiators should keep the place at like 20C.

I have some vintage furniture, but it's laden with Christmas stuff right now, so I'm not able to get the best pictures. Two that I did capture on camera are an old TV cabinet that my Dad custom built decades ago to specifically look vintage:

And an old antique buckboard that we use as a bench in our downstairs family room:

I'm so glad to see some Christmas trees in this thread! I love seeing people's trees, one of my favorite things in the holiday season, is walking around at dusk or night and seeing people's trees in the window. Here's mine, with complete with lead tinsel which is not easy to get new in the U.S., what with it being banned in the 1960s, vintage c7 colored bulbs and lots of vintage/antique ornaments, many of which were my grandmother's.

Very nice. I've always been a fan of those big bulbs.

Thank you! I've always admired them, but grew up with the mini white lights, so this was my first year of having the teardrop colored bulbs, which I'm very excited about!

I put some big C7 ones outside the house.

Just make sure you secure those pics to the ceiling, or you could wake up with a bad headache. :p
