Another 1930 (Late 39-40) Horsehide, The Collar Grain contrast to rest of jacket is awesome. The leather on this one has a depth that pictures can not capture. In the sunlight the leather shows different hues of brown and deep red/purple. It is my favorite jacket.

I've seen the pony label before, on this Minnesota Woolen. Not sure whether it's a generic label or specific to MW.

I thought of it as generic, but there is a Minnesota connection with the labels I have found.

more proof that extreme grain is already part of the leather and not something that develops over time
