Size 7 Mallory

I have a Mallory fedora that was given to me but is too small for me. It is in beautiful condition. It is labeled a size 7, measures 21 5/8 around the inside, the brim is 2 3/8 wide, the band is 2" wide, and the crown is 5" tall. It is a medium gray. It is stamped "Picard's Clothes Shop Fall River, Mass." on the inside. They were a high end shop some time ago. The box is in fair to poor shape and is from Filene's in Boston. Shoot me an offer. I'd also consider a trade for something similar measuring ~23 3/8.

BigDawg, I don't think you should let that stop you. A good hat stretcher and patience will easily let you open that hat up to a 7 1/8. I've done that to a couple of hats, and although they tend to shrink back for a few months and require just a bit of periodic re-stretching, it can be done. I'd say get the hat, find a good stretcher and go for it.

I don't know what the outer limit of upsizing at home is, but a 1/8 size increase is manageable.
