I've got a 1920s, 1930s or 1940s newsboy cap for sale (pics and measurements to come). It's labelled a 7 1/4 and fits bigger than a 7 1/8, and much bigger than a 7 so I guess it's pretty accurate. The hat is US made and so the UK size is 7 1/8
It's a standard 8-panel cap in a tweed material with flecks. Snap on brim intact and fully functional. The sweatband is in good shape, it could use a dose of conditioner. Lined in heavy satin - green around the edges, red in the centre. Distinctive Styles Continental Fashion, looks like: "C. M. & C. Co" Anyone know what this means? All I can come up with is a New York Appellate Division report from 1913 involving the "Construction Material and Coal Co.". A hat subsidiary?lol
Asking £80 (GBP) shipped worldwide. PM with serious interest.
