This is a gorgeous blue dress from the early 1940s. The designer is New York Creations.

Go here to read more about the designer: http://www.vintagefashionguild.org/...section,6/cat,59/task,view/id,382/Itemid,100/

It’s a really pretty blue, with lovely flowers all over, silk-screened I believe. It has two cute little pockets in the front, and a tie around the back. It has a metal zipper along the side.

It’s in very good condition for its age. It does have a couple loose seams, only about an inch. The bottom has a thin line all the way around, like it was hemmed at one point, but there are no other signs it was hemmed. There is also, on the right side, and line of pin sized holes where it was taken in at one time.

$30 plus $8 shipping

Measurements: taken while laying flat and doubled
Bust: 42
Waist: 32
Hips: full
Length: 56”

I don't know. I went to UPS first and it said $80 something, so then I went to USPS and it had different prices listed based on size, etc. I don't know much about shipping- this is what came up- any help appreciated :)

The problem is that you are looking at flat rate pricing. The price for a first class package or envelope based on a 3lb package should be $12.16 I figured it high since it was full length and of a good weighted material. If you need I could tell you how I get this but usually it's always a little bit cheaper at the post office.

So use what kind of box? I recently had problems using my own box, it came out really high.

Alexandra if you want to go for $13, that's okay with me.

Hmm I've never had this problem. Of course, it depends on the weight, the size of the box and how you're shipping it too (say, Priority is a lot more expensive than Parcel Post, for domestic mail anyway). Just use the smallest box you can find that will fit the item, or carefully wrap it in plastic and use a padded or plastic envelope.

If you can do $13 bucks I'd love to buy it.

May I ask if the seam that's loose is repairable or is the fabric there shot?
