Don't know if this is the right thread for this, but I saw an avengers episode a few days ago where John Steed wore an interesting hat.
Looks like something in between a bowler and a top hat to me. Never saw something like that before.

Looks like a dressage hat to me... like a very stiff low crown top hat.

That would make sense as he is also wearing a riding stock.
