Beautiful! I used to have 3X that looked just like it. Is the brim 2 7/8?I’m guessing this is a mid 1950s hat, but that’s just a guess and I’m happy to be educated.

Good day, Sir. I think you have my hat. Lol
Thank you, sir! I've seen so many beauties in this thread. Mine's just another brick in this great 7X wall. That’s a beauty!
I’ll join the party with my 7XCB. This one, I think this one is from the early 50’s and possibly even late 40’s. Correct me if I’m wrong. This felt will take any shape or crease I give without steam. It has that “molds like clay” ability. I’ve actually had this one a while but the fit was just a tad bit loose. I sent it to @Randall Renshaw to dial in the sizing for me and he spruced it up a bit, too. He did an amazing job! This is officially my favorite OR in the stable. The felt is incredible!
Brim up or down???

Thanks, Randy! That's some cool history! A very interesting piece of Americana. I like that store logo and font on the sweat. I remember seeing your 7X a few pages back. It looked perfect!Very nice. Joske's used to be one of the premier clothing stores in the U.S. Sold to Dillards in 1987 after being in business for over a century.

Fantastic!#53 Block 7x ‘San Fran’ from Porters. Thrilled for @Jesse John thinking of me when he found this essentially unworn beauty. This model was offered over quite a few decades, but did have some different finishings and dimensions which I’ll share in the next post. Now on to the hat!

Very nice Ross. Great post! Here are a few adds showing the different dimensions and ribbon treatments posted in our catalogs threads.
Mine might be considered a San Fran Sr. as it has the 6 1/4” crown and 3.5” BE brim.

Nice!Late 1940's Stetson 7X Clear Beaver. Has 3 inch bound brim and 5 1/2 inch open crown. This hat is in absolutely new condition or what some call NOS (new old stock). Notice the liner has the split on the side instead of at rear, and that the word Beaver is added after 7XXXXXXX.
