Some words to say-
Maybe most of North American or European customers don't know. But, it's worth to be noted that many Wesco's new styles or designs were actually brought into being in the beginning by Wesco Japan(WJ). And these styles and designs would only be available in Japanese market for a period of time before Wesco (USA mother company) made them available for orders from other customers. In my humble opinion, with creatives input of the exclusive JP distributor Wesco is able to constantly offering great products and staying competitive in high-end custom boots business. though shoesmaking is far from a high-tech sector, It's not an overstatement that WJ have done a great deal of research and development. We should give high credit and praise to Wesco Japan's effort. I don't have any affiliation with WJ and don't benefit in anyway by expressing these opinions.

Some example of products or options first originated in Japan and later generally available
- Narrow engineer last, which is a combination of sleek motorcycle patrol toe and Boss heels. originally MP toe is only avaible with low heels. with the advent of this particular style later came many other engineer boots also dedicated to achieve this 1930s vintage dressy flat toe (or soft toe) look, such as Road Champ by Mister Freedom, Role Club engineer.
- Triple vamp and counter stitching, reverse double V backstay stitching, Double top stitching.
According to the description from WJ. these stitching methods existed on very early Wesco boots and discontinued long time ago. WJ help with the re-introduction of it.
- New leather options. Among them the arguably most unique is brown bison leather.

I’m familiar with standard boss fit, Lofgren fit. Noting that these are a narrow last, can you share your foot width and discuss fit in these? Thanks

No, I would say Wesco boss fits normal, not small, not narrow.
I am size 8.5E in Whites Semi Dress, Wesco Jobmaster or Boss,
so This 9D Century boss fits me OK in terms of width and half size longer than 8.5 obviously. but not a big issue.
Japanese brand engineer boots, I normally wear 8E. And 8.5E is larger but within acceptable range
with insoles or thicker socks. Japanese boots usually have a wider or higher instep in order to better
fit Asian mens feet. it's common that Chinese and Japanese have thicker instep than Western counterparts.
