Oh my! I was out of tune when this was posted. I've been asking people in different threads to look at the bottom of the Sunrise box. No idea about this thread.
I read about it on facebook group, but don't know who to credit. My girlfriend broke the month code for me, just as you have done.
I have found a 1937, 1939, 1941 I will do a full account with the month.
This is, so far, very accurate.
I'm quite interested in finding more dates on the Sunrise Talon boxes. I will post mine and others in this thread, if you have one look it up.
The Sunrise boxes fade away during the war. I have seen them on original A2s. The boxes went from a beautiful gold box to a pot metal war time shortage box, then they were gone.
The earliest box would begin to tell a story, so far I have documented a 1937; the grommet was an earlier zipper which I assume the Sunrise replaced.
