TCM: Why?!??!!

I'm watching Three Comrades (1938) on TCM right now and THE PICTURE AND SOUND ARE LUDICROUSLY OUT OF SYNC. The dialogue is something like five seconds ahead of the image. Mostly it's just annoying, except every now and then Robert Taylor opens his yap and out comes the voice of Margaret Sullavan.

But WHAT IN THE BLUE FARK IS GOING ON??!! I saw this same pic on this same channel about 3 years ago and everything was fine. So what can be the matter????

Makes me think of the scene in "Singin' in the Rain" where the film in movie slows for a moment so the actress says "No, no, no" while Gene Kelly is nodding yes, yes, yes.
Then again most things remind me of "Singin' in the Rain".

Sorry to hear about the annoyance though.

Man may have a point. I'm trying to watch the Iowa-Iowa State game, our classic contest hereabouts, and the remote feed is breaking up about once every 10 seconds. Of course, the commercials come thru fine. Hmpf!
