The age & possible value of a Stetson hat?

Hi thanks for the responses. I found this forum and this thread in particular from Google searches. The thread is named age & possible value of a Stetson hat, so I just hopped on with my hat hoping to get an idea. I get that it's tricky to give a value.
To answer Daniel's two questions, no it doesn't fit and I'm a baseball cap guy. And why yes, I do have another hat. Thanks for asking.

This one looks similar but doesn't say Stetson. It's Lee Fifth Avenue Water Bloc, Black Label. Also size 7.

If this one could fit, the compliments you’d receive would get your attention. Trust me!

Found this one not sure of its age but has seen better days. Might clean up OK. Size 7 open road 3xxx beaver.

I've looked at your other pics & your hat is an Open Road made by Akubra under contract with Stetson. Akubra also made the Boss of the Plains under contract. This is believed to have been in the late 1960's into the early 1970's which would have been during the time the Stetson family quit making hats & before the company was sold.

If you look at the sweat embossing in the pic below under the John B. Stetson Co. you can see made in Australia. That appears to have worn away in your pic.

Most examples that have surfaced use the Manila keyhole size tag. In your pics the size tag is not visible if there.

Liners are two tone like your hat. The hat pictured below happens to be a Boss of the Plains with the silk screened crest.

The ribbons tend to be flimsier than those used by Stetson up to that time.

Hope this helps.
