This incident fell on my desk as I professionally analyse global finance and spent time in British Army Intelligence. It's assumed Russian gold for payment while Moscow under sanction payment shipped this
sparkle out to cover debt. It gets better because of internal Kremlin corruption. MI6 and CIA concluded said
loss attrib internal actors Spetnaz who took possession lock stocksky.

I move we close F.A.S.K. file herewith.

The beans have been spilled. I guess if Foxtrot suddenly disappears, we know why.
F.L.A.S.K. Can neither confirm or deny, etc. etc.

Cold case on this like Siberia frozen solid but it was Russian Special Forces did deed done.

My favourite caper while posted NATO in Brussels involved a female officer escort ring discovered.
American, Canadian, UK, German, Italian, Greek women naval officers. All held high security clearances.
And the unit had been operational for fourteen months. I interviewed several ladies. Video, pix-the whole lot.
All for Queen and country you understand.

Halloween is upon us.
Ghosts. I’m really not sure where I stand on the issue. Their existence is possible, I guess.
One of the things that I enjoy about Hawaii is that it is (supposedly) a very haunted place. In part it is attributable to the ancient native Hawaiian culture. There are reburial sites sprinkled around our town where bones that were unearthed during construction were ceremoniously reburied. Kailua also is the site of two ancient temples (Heiau), one of which was used for human sacrifices. Tales of gods and ghosts are just part of the culture.

A common tale is that, at night, you may come across the spirit of Madam Pele, who might be hitchhiking on a deserted road. Most buildings, if they are preWWII, are likely to be haunted. On our side of the island Kamopua’a is said to lurk in the forest; he’s described as a Demi-god who is half man, half pig. I actually once met a guy who —with a straight face— claimed that he once saw Kamopua’a. On certain nights, phantom parades of dead chiefs are said to March from the burial caves in the mountains to the sea. Typically, not wishing to be dismissive of the Hawaiian culture, people half believe all these stories. People are very careful to respect the ancient sites, less they incur a curse.

With all this in mind, I was very happy to see this article explaining why our nearby local shopping mall is haunted (a well known fact.)

https://www.khon2.com/local-news/unexplained-encounters-that-haunt-a-busy-oahu-shopping-mall/

Do you believe in ghosts? Happy Halloween.

^ People are perplexing as ghosts. Nice write but fluff not fact.
London is haunted and I am a believer in ghosts, spirits, Elvira the witch goddess of the night.
''Hamilton'' is coming to the Victoria next month and my girl wants to see this so I told her for Halloween
then it's just a stay home order in pizza film fest, no costume supper dinner hash slings for meself.
And no chick flicks Halloween unless it's Elvira.

Another Halloween story.
But the article is unclear. It sounds like there is a real mystery at the bottom of it.
Time traveler and some urbanity never quite paned out to much of anything.
Similar to the House of Representatives UFO commitee hearings. Crash and splash, just splash.
I do fancy Ms Luna and her suit and regimental tie attire.

PS: research John Titor, a much more interesting case for time travel.

Here is the dirt on John Titor.

https://psmag.com/environment/the-mystery-of-john-titor-hoax-or-time-traveler-57001

I was unfamiliar with him until now. Its interesting that, in this day and age, literally anyone can create an on-line alter ego and commence to build his or her own alternate reality. Whether they believe it themselves or not, who knows? The nature of the medium makes it so easy to disappear at any point. If you garner enough followers, an urban legend is born; be it of time travel or deep government secrets.

Which is why I am Leary of anything that is purely an internet creation. (I’m an old man, after all. For most of my life the internet did not exist.) Now, David Grusch I can sink my teeth into. Whatever you think of him, he’s definitely a real person With a real backstory.

That backstory could just as easily be manufactured as well.

Mike Marcum supposedly resurfaced & died earlier this yr (2023), but no obituary can be found.

Slightly different from time travel but now try on Valiant Thor.

My recollect Grusch seemed credible and he went before the House committee but did not have first hand
experience. Impressive as were the others, more observant phenomena but it's a long hard march from this
to crash site retrieve where dead aliens are lorries took away.

We are not alone.
Umm, what I mean is F.L.A.S.K.* is not alone.

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-67144657

Although our mandate is a little broader, I think.
Besides the paranormal, UFOs, and cryptozoology, F.LA.S.K. Also investigates lost cities and lost treasures, true crime mysteries, history’s mysteries, non-mainstream archaeological theories, secret societies, questions about the nature of reality, and unexplained phenomena in general.

And it’s time for a recruitment drive! Lurkers, please jump in and provide a sentence or two about your particular interest in these areas. Why are you interested? Have you had any first hand unexplainable experiences? Do you lean more sceptical or more open minded or more “I’m convinced”? Any burning topics that we have overlooked? Perhaps you can throw in a relevant link. We are a friendly bunch, here.

Update on the old story of Noah’s Ark having been found in Eastern Turkey.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/24553782/has-noahs-ark-been-found-archaelogists-reveal/

You have to admit that it fits the legend perfectly.
And, of course, there is also the fact that many cultures around the world have flood myths.
I don't know if that could be the ark or not, but it is interesting that Noah had three sons that each had a wife with them on the ark; and that all people alive today derive their mitochrondrial DNA from one of three lineages (mitochondiral DNA being only passed by the mother to her children).

Interesting stuff about the mitochondrial DNA. Whether we are all descended from survivors of the ark or not, it is incontestable that all of us alive today are very closely related to each other. A while back I read something that did the population math and concluded that, if you have any European blood in you, you are related to every European who was alive a thousand years ago. (Yes, YOU are descended from Charlemagne!) I’ll try to find the link. Anyway, the point being that humans are all pretty closely related to each other.

have been probably gifted Jewish blood. Quite possibly. I'm Irish wolf blended English tea and Scotch whiskey.

That’s one heck of a hand axe. Great photographs of it. 200,000 years old. The article makes no mention of the XXL sized men who must have hoisted such a giant and heavy tool. Our past is littered with folk tales about giants. Didn’t we see another giant hand axe a few months back? Curious.

https://www.newsweek.com/giant-200000-year-old-stone-hand-axe-discovered-desert-amazing-1842715

A twenty inch hammer head stone axe used rock hewer isn't seemingly so outsized as to conjure giants Tick.
No soap hardware.
Those giant stones found Montana do provoke thought and enginer performance similar Inca and Mayan pyramids.

We have, of course, been monitoring Gunung Padang ever since the extraordinary claims were made that this pyramid in Indonesia is as old as 27,000 years. That would necessitate the rewriting of human history. Now a paper has finally been published.

https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-023-03546-w

Interestingly, the naysayers don’t dispute the dates of the earliest layers, but says there is no indication that the hand of man was responsible. The author then responds that 300 kilo rocks don’t arrange themselves like that by accident.

More serious IMHO, is the charge that no other extremely ancient constructions have been found in the neighborhood. Of course, it can be argued that “the neighborhood” is mostly dense jungle. So maybe it’s a matter of time.

I also have to laugh at how glibly the authorities mention Gobekli Tepi as the oldest big man made construction (about 11,000 years ago). Just ten years ago these same experts were denying Gobekli Tepi and saying that civilization was only 6,000 years old.

It is not impossible that the goalposts might move again.
