The Banana Man

Does anyone here remember "The Banana Man"?

He used to appear from time to time on the old "Captain Kangaroo" television program.

He was apparently an old vaudeville comedian whose act was mostly mime. He would occasionally hum a little tune while pulling all kinds of weird things from his coat pockets, punctuated by a falsetto "WOW!"

He scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.

Banana Man was awesome. I remember that cartoon as well, Baron. It played on Nickelodeon all the time, I remember it after Pinwheel.

I loved Bananaman. I loved Pinwheel. I loved Danger Mouse. And I could probably name 1000 more cartoons I loved. Thank god for those awesome cartoons that babysat me for so many years!

man talk about a blast from the past. i always wondered what happened to those old shows. i, too remember watching him on nickelodeon, along with quite a few other shows...
