Hello Ladies! Since many of you were interested in my first date, I thought I’d tell you all how it went. First off thank you all for the good thoughts and support. I needed it.

Well the date was Yesterday (Monday), after my 1:30 class. (I wore this dress
jm2.jpg

Ibought it special for yesterday ^_^ haha. With white flats and a white sweater.)(he also loved my dress saying it was “another outfit that amazed him with its uniqueness and great style” I would have taken a picture but I was so nervous plus had to go to class so I had no time sorry :(

So he picked me up from my class and not only was I super nervous but feeling really special since a lot of kinds from my class and school were out there to see me get picked up by this beautiful guy ^_^

(I should also mention my mom met this guy at the restaurant the day he asked for my number so she knows who he is and trusts him with me. So that’s why he got to pick me up from class)

So anyway I thought we were going to this secret caf?© place for tea and just talking but when I got into his car he was like ‚ÄúI got this awesome idea I hope you like it. Let‚Äôs go on a picnic!‚Äù It was a beautiful day and it seemed like fun so I agreed. (I called my mom and let her know the change of plans so don‚Äôt worry I kept the parents informed)

Then we went to a supermarket (where my best friend happens to work & she approved of him so all systems go hehe ^_^) and we went around picking out food that looked amazingly good. We got sandwiches, sodas, tea, candy, jello, lunchables (greatest invention ever) a cake… (We were going crazy) and these cool squirt guns and bubbles. I was having so much fun just shopping with him. I was so relaxed by now and felt I could just be myself and be silly. This really great song came on over the store radio and we danced down the isles together and sang. We spent about an hour just shopping and goofing off. Finally we left and it didn’t come out to as much as we thought so that was awesome.

Then we went to this Vineyard and went into this garden area where there was this BIG hill which overlooked the entire vineyard and everything so we dragged everything up there and finally spread out the blanket and ate everything we had just bought. Then we just goofed off and found this kid’s play ground and played tag and hide and go seek and just ran around like crazies. Then we rolled down the giant hill (I had shorts on under my dress, that’s just what I do for some reason I can't wear a dress with out little shorts) by this time we both looked crazy with grass in our hair etc.

There are this concert going on in the ampatheatre at the vineyard and tickets were 90$ so we snuck in ^_^ something I’ve always wanted to do. We were there for a half and hour when security found us and escorted us out of the ampatheathre. It was amazing.

At about 6:30 he took me home. & we both agreed it was a pretty amazing first date. We planed another date for this next Friday.

We talk on the phone and online all the time. He’s pretty much amazing...I like him a lot a lot. Oh! And his name is Chad if anyone was wondering...

So there you have it. My first date. Hope you enjoyed reading about it as much as I enjoyed going on it

Thanks again for all your support

^_^

Much love!

Emily.

P.S. What were some of your first dates like?

Awww!:) Thanks so much for telling us about "the" date!! That sounds so exciting, the dancing in the aisles of the store, having a picnic, laughing and playing like kids, rolling down a hill.... too sweet and romantic! I am so glad you had such a wonderful time. It is something you will always remember!;)

As they said in some film or another...

".. this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship!"

He sounds like a catch. Has he got a brother? lol

Oh I feel so old.
Was trying to remember my fisrt date, I had liked this chap for ages and all my friends knew and then they told his friends and they said' do you like her' and he said yes and I remember him coming over to ask me out and I kept hopping about from foot to foot all nervous and couldnt look at him. And he said 'would you stand still long enough for me to ask you out?'
So, I agreed (of course)
We went for a meal (terribly grown up I thought) and on the way back to the bus stop he kissed me and I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.
As to my outfit, it was the late 80s so I'd rather not recall it! (not even cool /retro 80s)
Lovely to hear about your date Emily.

Holly honey, your date sounded amazing. And I'm very impressed that you kept your family informed on your plans.

That is a good lesson for all of us ladies. Always let someone know who you are with and where you are going, first date or the tenth.

What a wonderful time!

That sounds like so much fun, I want to grab my husband and re-enact it!
Where in rural Northern CA are you? Maybe not too far from the Bay Area? Let me know, maybe we can get you to one of our dress-up events. Bring Chad!

You've gotta be the envy of all the girls! I mean, could he be anymore of a dream? *sigh* From the sounds of it, the only thing that coulda made him more of a heartthrob was if he were dressed in vintage too.

*sighs deeply*

Oh, darn it, you've got me in a romantic mood now!

My frist date was a hoot,I dressed in vintage 1940's,noting fancy just what I felt comfortable in.He is in the Air Force so I thought maybe he'll pick me up in a nice Air force Outfit...or at least something other then a t-shirt and Basketball shorts grosss.....then we went to this place called Caruso to have dinner,it was nice we drank wine,Even if it was on the other dark side of the dining area and you could only hear the recorded Frank Sinatra music in the background at a faint distance. Our Conversation was sorta Bleek to say the least and when Dinner was over we went to this place called "Old Tucson" its kinda vintage cowboys fun park.He drove me home and I kissed him on the cheek and told him I had a Wonderful night....leaving with my pride,I am kinda an old fashion girl.
