The Gathering of the B-17 Flying Fortresses - Anyone here going?

Hi, I'm new to this forum, but have been reading your threads for quite some time now. I'm a history teacher, an avid WWII nut, and a lover of all things "warbird" - since I was a child.

Anywho, wasn't sure if there were any other personas on this board from or near the Detroit area - who might be headed to the Gathering of the B-17's Fortresses this upcoming week. (The largest gathering of B-17's in the world, as well as many other WW2 aircraft, a number of WW2 celeb guests, and an WWII ground reenactment)

I've never been to one before, but I imagine they're thrilling.

Does anyone been to one before or planning on going this upcoming week?

They reportedly had a C-130 in flight there last year...
