Here is my other Lee Trinity (size 7 3/8) from JohnnyPhi. This one looks similar to Mario's but is greenish (olive?).

Here's one I saw on the bay, threw out an offer and got it. Seller shipped it economy on the 21st from Maine, arrived today the 23rd in NorCal. I've had priority from Southern California take twice as long...go figure.
Anyhoo, this White Label Doe-Sheen Fifteen is a beautiful lid. The felt has quite the sheen to it, with a hand like a very short napped velour. Seller called it brown and it looked brown in the pics, but in person it has some nice deep green tones. Some mothing, notably one divot on the crown and a few in the bow area. They really show in the pics due to the harsh light of the late afternoon. Less obvious in person.

In bright light:

In shade. The very thin felted edge can be seen best in this light:

Brim 2 5/8", 5 1/2" open crown. 140g.

Head shot. Best representation of the color.

Thanks Stefan!
John, Congrats! The finish is a Chamois so done by a sanding process so not Velour. Is the liner stitched or glued in?
Thanks Steve!
I was wondering about the felt and if it was possibly imported, as it is certainly the closest to a velour of any American made hat not specifically marked as a genuine velour that I have personally experienced. Very nice hand and hard to resist petting it...:)
The liner is stitched.

John, Velour is a different process. I am not aware of any American company that produced Velour post WWII. American companies started producing Chamois finishes in the 1930s and onward (with European machines and processes). If it's a felted edge than the felt was most likely produced in America (by Lee). My guess is mid to later 1950s. It's really great!
