That last diagram made my last stylist say,"Oh, NOW I get it!" I had to include it
Thanks, SheBear! Has the humidity around here been killing your curls? It sure has mine!
Zombi, sponge rollers were all I used for the first two years. I'm glad I held onto them!
On to diagrams...
I posted these in the "Show Us" thread but I wanted them to be found here as well. Inky (dunno where she's been, I miss her) has the Femme Fatale diagram in her Flickr, and it's a better scan than I have.

Here is all of the cuts in the book: http://vintagehair.livejournal.com/3645.html
And I just found the other one. Crude, but it makes sense and my stylist appreciated it!

I did the set with an elastic headband! I am so excited about the results. By far the easiest set I have ever done and the most comfortable to sleep in, hands down. Being a nurse that wakes up at 0400, that last part is the most important part!
I wanted to get hot sticks and try it, but all the wal-marts around me are out of stock! What is this run on hot sticks all about?? No matter, the headband set seems to work well, and no heat. If it isn't broke, dont fix it, I guess!
