Question about the new light brown Stetson Open Road 6x Royal Deluxe.

I tried on a new Stetson Open Road 6x Royal Deluxe yesterday, but it was in a new light brown color. It wasn't chocolate or fawn, but a lighter brown that was almost heather brown, and it had a contrasting band in darker brown.

I need one in 7 1/4 as the 7 3/8 was too large.

Has anyone else seen this color? I contacted one seller and he said they should be back in stock in a month or so... I guess I could order the sage as I like that too, but the light brown was really my favorite.

    Any opinions on these hats?

    Thanks!

    Troy

  3. That sounds really nice, the light brown with contrasting ribbon. May I ask where you found it?

I found it at The Boot Store in Lexington Ky. Here's a picture of the only other one I found online.

sweet colors on that OR ... I'd get that one if I were you

a month wait is nothing ... and the suspense the time causes is some of the most fun to me... and it ramps up once it's shipped

I tend to check tracking multiple times a day :)

  7. In the Stratoliner that's called Cornhill. I didn't know they offered it in the OR. Akubra's Taupe Fawn is very close to Cornhill.

  8. I've got the OR Royal Deluxe in the sage & the natural color. It is sort of like the Road Master that came out a few years back, definitely darker than the regular silverbelly. I don't consider the band & brim binding that contrasting tho.

I just picked up and open road and now I'm hooked...

Tell me more what is this outlet?

    ---
Edit I did some searching in the forum Stetson outlet I'm guessing and it looks like you call'em up and see what they have. I would ask in general are these seconds or something that makes them such a better deal?

    thanks!

Thanks for posting that catalog. It was cool to look through. Do they not post the regular 6x open road in the fall catalog? I only saw the royal deluxe...

I'm working on another hat, a Bradford 7X Quality, whatever that meant in Bradford terms. The felt is phenomenal. I'm thinking maybe doing another OR clone with it. Anyway, check out the OR the base fiddle player is wearing. I like the way he shaped the brim on this one...

Of course . It seems like a color that would go with anything.

  20. That's the color, (81)Natural, of mine that I was trying to describe earlier. I see Walnut & Caribou listed but not pictured.
