Not certain how much of this has been put in here. There are a few new elements which were new to me.

When Harry Rolnick threw Garland’s hats into the ring, they performed a class act. Even Neiman-Marcus said so.

The Brooklyn native had matured in Houston, where he joined forces with his brothers in the business of renovating men’s hats. Moving to Dallas, he was a principal in the Florence Hat Company, then joined with Edward R. Byer to form Byer-Rolnick Corporation in 1929.

I had never read about the Florence Hat Co. before. That's a new one on me.

From: https://careers.garlandtx.gov/DocumentCenter/View/3467/Hat-Heritage-PDF

This doc states that he opened "Harry's Hat Shop" in 1922. No mention of the Florence Hat Co., which I can't find any additional info on. So...1922-1927? Five years isn't a bad window.

And just to complete things, Rose Rolnick's Obit. She just passed 5 years ago. Shoot, we could have asked her some questions!

What do you think about the accuracy of the color rendering? :)

I must say that is one of the few hats I've seen that is begging for rope chords to give it that cavalry look! Nice 100 sir!

Resistol Beaver “100”

6 inch open crown and 3” raw edge brim. Dime-thin dense felt with an excellent hand. I didn’t intend to give it a diamond crease; I wanted to shape it like a similar dimension 7X CB I have, but this hat didn’t want it.

Hello,
I have this Resistol Beaver 20 Fedora Hat. There is a slip glue inside the leather band. "Resistol Rejuvenates".... is that repair or cleaning, shaping, stretching? Also, any clue what the color is? Difficult to get accurate color photos let alone that everyone's monitor is different. There is a color scribbled on the slip as well. Any thoughts? Thank you. I'll include photos. btw, I love how the photos upload in this lounge!

Just a guess, but cleaning and reblocking were two of the more common services. I’m not sure what color is listed on the form, but it looks like silverbelly/silver belly which in itself covers several tones.

Very nice old Resistol.

Hi, I'm not sure whether to leave in the hat or not, but thanks for the info and name possibility.
This man has some really nice hats and after the MAC and Stetson, the next were four Resistol hats. It's been fun, but crazy keeping up. Thanks again.
