Starting a series with whichever book is currently out or going back and starting with the first one? (In a series like Bond or Ellery Queen, so it's not required to start at the beginning.)

I read 'em as I find 'em on the shelf.

As far as serial fiction is concerned, "Radio Boys" or "Tom Swift"?

"4711" is the original "Eau de Cologne", having been made bu Mulhens in Cologne (Köln) since 1792. It is a light, fresh, citrusy scent, and quite pleasant, particularly in warm weather.

The Who from "5:15"

Why should I care, why should I care?
Girls of fifteen
Sexually knowing
The ushers are sniffing
Eau-de-coloning
The seats are seductive
Celibate sitting
Pretty girls digging
Prettier women...

"Why should I care?"

"If I didn't care"

In fact, I DON'T CARE!

Grew up with a Dad who loved The Ink Spots - heard them from my days in a crib.

"If I Didn't Care" so "The Great Gatsby" to me.

P.S., I'm sure you know this, but I was highlighting the "coloning" line, the "Why should I care" is just the start of the song, not a commentary on my part.

And the Lilac Veg requires the proper body chemistry to wear. Some pull it off, but if it doesn't like you stay far away.

Yes. I thought it clever and funny, and then grabbed your idea and ran off on a tangent with it. The possibilities of "coloning" are terribly tempting, if rather scatalogical...

Oh, and speaking of 5:15, the ultimate Long Island song:

"Talk about your subway,
Talk about your El,
Talk about your street car lines as well,
But when you're living out where the fields are green
You've got to go home on the 5:15.

You leave the office at 5 o'clock
Stop at the butcher's foe a steak or a chop
Get the evening papers and a magazine
Then you run like the dickens for the 5:15...

Awesome and another example of nothing is tabula rosa new. Maybe The Who was familiar with this song or not (a lot of these early rock musicians had a surprisingly diverse knowledge of music), but either way, 5:15 was there in music decades before. Impressive as always that you knew of this song.
