HATS, HATS, HATS

Today will be the 1st Day with temps in the 60's (we missed the 70's), so yesterday I also, desided to make the switch to Felt.

I gathered up my summer hats ( a reasonable number of 8) and started pulling out my stored Felts and then I pulled out the ones I had hid from my wife and then I pulled out the one I had hid from myself........

And as I sat there with Straws to the right of me and Felts to the left of me (and for that matter to the front and rear of me), I Thought, Damn I have way toooooo many Hats!!!!!!!

Then I thought of my Grandfather who wore a Hat everyday and never owned more than 2 of them at a time...

Is there is a Moral here ??
Oh Well, I need to Check on another hat at ebay now.;) ;)

Well it's still hot enough down here in Texas, 85 today to continue with the straws for a while.

Ooooohhh not this morning! It was 62 in Houston this morning. I got out the only hat I own (for now) a wool felt. I will still wear it today despite the promise by the weather guru that it will be 85 by mid-afternoon (I'll just think 62)!

hmpf. I would never allow anything as intelligent as weather considerations to influence the rationale for my daily hat selection!

Instead, annually at exactly midnight every September 15th -- Felt Hat Day -- I huck all my straws bam-zoom back into the closet and whup out the felts from the moth-locker for yet another Gloriously-Hidebound-By-Tradition-Felt-Hat-Season until May 15th rolls inflexibly around once again!

...but that's just the way I roll. :eusa_doh:

Still pretty warm in Phoenix!

I'll probably wear my Stetson 'Gordon' for another month as it's still sweat ring weather at 95 degrees. The nights are sure getting cool though!

I'm SO ready to switch to the felts. Actually wore a Open Road this morning as it was 66 degrees, before the sun came up. Going to 86, which will be a little warm.
