I'm not averse to a little Tom Hanks, in a good role.

I know this is 11, but I could watch Jack Lemmon all day!

Movie actors --

1. Humphrey Bogart
2. James Stewart
3. Marlon Brando
4. Sir Alec Guiness
5. Sir Lawrence Olivier
6. Richard Burton (I loved him, my very favorite Hamlet)
7. Al Pacino
8. Dustin Hoffman
9. Robert De Niro
10. Tom Hanks

Again, I could also put Gielgud, Redgrave, Richardson, Attenborough and a whole slew of those English Actors in there. Also, all the character actors and actresses who have been in many movies, sometimes playing to type, sometimes so versatile, you hardly recognize them from movie to move.

I remember Warren!:eusa_clap I love him, he's very delightful. He did a wonderful job in the Colbert version of Imitation of Life! :)

I also love that you included Robert Mitchum! What a force of nature! But sadly, if ever the word under-rated were created for someone, it was him. He deserves so much more applause and recognition! I get chills every time I see a new movie of his! :) :)

Warren William,wasn't he cute?

And Robert Mitchum :D what can we say... it's exactly as you put it "a force of nature", talk about film noir, talk about the "detective extraordinaire", gosh, he was the one! Dangerous but at the same time considerate, what a heady combination.
And LadyStardust, I must confess... I also get chills everytime he appears on the screen. lol  lol lol

I also considered Robert Montgomery and Dick Powell since I love their early 1930s charismatic roles. But I feel like I need to see more of their later films to really pass verdict.
