Stetson Rockport size 62
This is a size 62 Stetson Rockport in white Shantung Panama purchased new from Bencraft in 2012. Hat has little wear, but there is some discoloration at the brim break in front --- it looks like the sweat band leached a little dye into the straw just below the ribbon --- see close-up. I’m selling due to the short brim, not the discoloration.
Crown 4” to center pinch, brim 2” underwelt, unlined with 1-1/2” wide multicolored striped ribbon. Asking $45 shipped CONUS. Buy this one and the Sunbody below for $60 shipped.
Sunbody Guatemalan Palm size 63
Per the Sunbody site, this is the correct size to order if you normally wear size 62 (7-3/4) due to expected minor shrinkage of the cloth sweatband. The hat has not been worn enough for the shrinkage to occur, but fits size 62 with a small length of sizing foam behind the band (included). I bought this for kayaking, but decided to stick with the polystraw I’m currently using, so I haven’t worn it.
Crown 4-½” at front, 4” at back, brim is 3” wide and quite flat, ½” black grosgrain ribbon, cloth sweatband, unlined.
