    Stetson Rockport size 62
This is a size 62 Stetson Rockport in white Shantung Panama purchased new from Bencraft in 2012. Hat has little wear, but there is some discoloration at the brim break in front --- it looks like the sweat band leached a little dye into the straw just below the ribbon --- see close-up. I’m selling due to the short brim, not the discoloration.

Crown 4” to center pinch, brim 2” underwelt, unlined with 1-1/2” wide multicolored striped ribbon. Asking $45 shipped CONUS. Buy this one and the Sunbody below for $60 shipped.

    Sunbody Guatemalan Palm size 63
Per the Sunbody site, this is the correct size to order if you normally wear size 62 (7-3/4) due to expected minor shrinkage of the cloth sweatband. The hat has not been worn enough for the shrinkage to occur, but fits size 62 with a small length of sizing foam behind the band (included). I bought this for kayaking, but decided to stick with the polystraw I’m currently using, so I haven’t worn it.

Crown 4-½” at front, 4” at back, brim is 3” wide and quite flat, ½” black grosgrain ribbon, cloth sweatband, unlined.
Asking $25 shipped CONUS. Buy both for $60 shipped.

Bump for the weekend, summer's still here, at least in the big city...

Bump for the Labor Day weekend - how about $35 shipped for the stingy-brimmed Stetson Rockport with the striped ribbon?
Maybe you have a hipster niece or nephew who's looking to sport a fine urban straw....

Man that Sunbody in Guatemalan Palm is something else again! Twice as thick as any other straw I've got. Stuff's damn near bullet proof!

I didn't keep it as a kayaking hat, as I thought it would get too heavy if it got submerged, which happens pretty often. If that thing got soaked, it would probably take you straight to the bottom.

On the positive side, you can think of it as a sort of Amish hard-hat, something to protect the noggin while barn-raising or riding a horse... ;)

Hi Splitcoil - my PM isn't going through at the moment. I'll try again a little later, but the hat is yours - Carl

Errr... don't exactly run with the "Barn Raising - Milk Churning" crowd, though I HAVE thrown my share of hay bales in my time. My arms and back still hate me!
