Here are a few more nice ties from the late 30's - early 40's. These are by no means "average", but are in the $10 range unlike the 3 very special ones I last posted. All are in extremely good condition, and are clean and bright.

Group A:

1) Deep mahogany or rust base with "mosaic" squares of red, gold, silver and black - this is a very heavy brocade type fabric - labeled "Twin-Flex made expressly for Broadstreet New York". Unlined. No holes, wear or stains.
2) Very dark blue with repeating jacquard pattern weave, with woven in silver and red heart or lip shaped design. Tie has silk lining which is yellowing with age, and has a small hole in the lining, but not in the tie fabric - area on the right side of photo looks discolored or wrinkled - it is not - it is caused by the sheen of the fabric at that angle. No label.
3) Rich, chocolate brown with a rippling "waterfall" brocade effect in a darker brown and silver interspersed with tiny green dots. No label. Unlined.

Group B:

1) Dark blue with tiny foulard pattern of alternating red and silver dots in groups of 4. Nice, wavy jacquard pattern in the weave. This one has one label that says "The Hub Baltimore" and another one (about to fall off) that says "Trojan, All Silk Drape Stitch Construction" Unlined.
2) Deep, dark red (darker than the photo) with a subtle weave in a raised and smooth grid texture - jewel-like foulard design woven in where the grids cross - in silver, bright red and blue. No lining, and no label. The only flaw is a hole near the tip of the SMALL END - this is NOT visible when wearing the tie, and is not in a "wear spot".
3) Maroon with feathers in a brocade weave - feathers are in blue, silver, and a pinkish red - labeled "Getz Department Store, Marquette, MI". Unlined.

Interested in the middle two of both groups: the blue brocade and the red with the hole. Let me know if they are still up for grabs.
